When a man meets a woman

Bismillah
No, there's no courtship or 'fell in love' scene that happened.

I was about to feed Hadi. My routine after he woke up and change his nappy. As i entered the kitchen and start mixing the rice with water, there was a knock on the door. I left Hadi at the baby chair and walked towards the door.

I opened the door.
Assalamualaikum..he said.
He wore glasses, grey thobe and kufi. He brought a desert with him.
I replied the greeting.
I was holding the door, I immediately knew I cant invite him in.
As soon as he sees me, he moves behind the door, which was a decorated glass. Barely seeing him. Only the desert was visible.

Is this Dr. Zarina's house?..he said
I replied yes.
Can you call Abdul Azim for me?
I left the door ajar. I called Azim a few times, even went upstairs...
But he didn't hear me. Too tired perhaps after we went swimming in NAC yesterday.

I came back to the 'invisible man' at the door.
Sorry, i dont think he hears me..I said
"Its ok, can you just tell him that *** came. And can you help give this to him"
Thank you sister. Assalamualaikum.

I knew him. Dont worry, he's married.

I was amazed by such attitude. Some might think it is rude. But, in our beautiful religion, this what we call good manners. What? You think by talking behind a screen will make your conversation with your non mahram complicated?
NO
NO
NO

I hope every muslim practice the manners when communicating between the opposite gender, be it brother or sister.

It's easy to write it here. May Allah give the strength to do so inshaAllah.

Mafhum ayah 30-31 an noor
Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is aware of what they do. (30)

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms.....(31)
